“Green IT” was the buzzword of the CeBIT 2008. The question was not only how IT can be more environment-friendly and energy-efficient (an important question as today’s worldwide IT causes more carbon dioxide than all air traffic combined) but also which role IT will play in current and future environment-related projects from more efficient traffic flow to water supply. IBM has always been at the forefront of environmental issues and takes its own responsibilities and policies very seriously.

The “Green Responsibility Fountain” shows several different stories on projects all around the world and transforms them in an informative and aestetically beautyful stream of pictures, lights and motion.

The CeBIT 2008 was my first CeBIT as a headwriter for a whole bunch of showcases, this being the most spectacular. The challenge was to break down extremely complex business cases and tell them in a new way.
